Winter Golf Club Wedding in Elkhart, Indiana
You never know what to expect for December weather in northern Indiana. When Sarah told me their wedding date was December 1st I expected bitter cold and hoped for snow. We got moderately cold and sunny, with no snow at all, but beautiful and I would not have traded it. Documenting their wedding day was an honor, I’m so grateful they trusted me with their day.
Sarah and Thomas are a super chill, and very sweet couple. Their love for one another is very patient and kind, and they both radiate so much positivity into the world around them. Thomas tends toward being the quieter one of the two (at least around me / in front of the camera), and Sarah lovingly took the lead to ensure he was comfortable, and that the day ran as smooth as possible. And the wedding party, made up of two of Sarah’s sisters, and Thomas’s brothers, were really laid back and fun, too.
I asked Sarah if they’d be okay to go outside to a few spots I scoped out for their first look and some portraits. She was on board but concerned about Thomas because he reeeally does not like the cold. (Me either, if I’m being honest lol). How adorable!?! They both stuck it out for me like troopers to get some of those beautiful portraits outside. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better couple to work with for my first wedding in this photography business.
Also, I think it’s worth noting, that Sarah was adamantly against dancing at her reception. However, when the time came, she was out there almost the entire reception, having a blast and looking great!
These two are going to have an epic love story for the ages, I can just feel it!
